14. WhatsApp Messaging Services
We use the WhatsApp Business Platform (operated by Meta Platforms Inc., "Meta") to communicate with customers who provide their phone number and opt in to WhatsApp communication.
How you opt in
You may opt in to receive WhatsApp messages from us by:
- Providing your phone number during checkout with WhatsApp consent
- Clicking a "Chat on WhatsApp" link on our Site, our ads, or our other channels
- Sending us a message on WhatsApp first
- Subscribing to our WhatsApp notifications through our website or in-store sign-up
What we send via WhatsApp
- Transactional messages: order confirmations, dispatch notifications, delivery updates, payment reminders, invoices
- Customer service responses: replies to your enquiries
- Promotional messages (only with separate explicit opt-in): new product announcements, festival offers, special pricing

- Replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to any of our promotional WhatsApp messages — we will process your opt-out promptly (typically within 24 hours)
- Emailing ContactUs@goldenladynaturals.com with subject "WhatsApp Opt-Out" to stop ALL WhatsApp communication including transactional updates (note: this may delay order-related communications, as we will switch to email or SMS for those)
- Blocking our WhatsApp number within your WhatsApp app
Opting out of marketing WhatsApp messages does not affect your ability to purchase from us; we will use email or SMS for transactional notifications instead.
Retention of WhatsApp data
WhatsApp message records (your phone number, message metadata, delivery status, and message content if stored for customer-support purposes) are retained for as long as needed to provide our services, plus an additional retention period for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes — typically up to 12 months from your last interaction, longer if required by applicable law. Coexistence between our team's WhatsApp Business app and our Cloud API integration
For some of our WhatsApp Business numbers, our staff continues to use the WhatsApp Business app on their phones for human-handled conversations, alongside our automated Cloud API integration. Messages you send may be visible to authorized staff members in either system. Our authorization scope is governed by your consent at the time you message us.
